In its 2nd edition, on the 2nd of December, the Action of Love of Christ the Redeemer took to the residents of the City of God services and preventive actions in health, education, social care, citizenship and environment. The project also encouraged the community with recreation for children, concerts, dance and theater.
The Mass was celebrated by the Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro, Dom Orani João Tempesta, and had as concelebrants the Episcopal Vicar of Vicariate Jacarepaguá, Monsignor Jan Kaleta, and the Pastor of the Parish Eternal Father and St. Joseph, Father Jose Adilson Pontes.
"For us, it is a joy to celebrate and perform the Action of Love of Christ the Redeemer in our Vicariate, and it is very interesting to promote this action in all our communities, because we know that we will always find people who need something. Who does not need today? We all need. I, as Episcopal Vicar, am very happy and pleased that people participate, the priests participate, and especially because Dom Orani participates - he is the great missionary and evangelizer of our Archdiocese, he is always present in all Vicariate. That, for us, is an incentive and a great joy, "said the Monsenhor.
