On the last Saturday, October 12th, Christ the Redeemer celebrated its 82 years and the place of the party was the Casa Maternal Mello Mattos, which serves about 300 needy children, residents of Rocinha and of Rio Comprido. On the occasion, the Archbishop, Dom Orani João Tempesta, presided the prayer to the Virgin Mary, while the children of Casa Maternal Mello Mattos made the coronation of Our Lady.
In partnership with public and private entities, the Action of Love contemplated the participants with activities aimed at promoting health, as speech, eye and dental care, and also offered recreational, cultural and educational activities such as workshops, readings, theater, music and entertainment.
