This reading of faith about our life is good for us!! And it was exactly what, on July 27, 2013, at the World Youth Day, in Rio de Janeiro, made Pope Francis, during his meeting with the Brazilian episcopate, while remembering Our Lady Aparecida. He cited the needs of those fishermen who found the image in the river. They were simple men, with modest boats and fishing equipment. Workers who were already fatigued and marked by failure. And, "when it was his will, God himself appeared in his mystery. (...) He came by surprise - maybe when we did not expect (the patience of waiting for him is always put to the test). And God came in a new way, because God is surprise: an image of fragile clay darkened by the waters of the river, also aged by time. God always comes in the guise of smallness ".
Can you see that God, in his mystery, always comes by surprise in our life, presents himself in a new way and uses simplicity? Maybe that's why so many people doubt his existence ... There are those who always expect great miracles and dazzling divine answers and are completely closed to the beauty of the novelties of the ordinary things of everyday life, in which the Lord is present. We must be attentive to common events!
You and I live in the midst of the supernatural in the natural existence. Because we recognize that God is, yes, very close to us. He doesn’t boast great miracles, but is careful and caresses us, in common life. I want to take this spiritual vision to spot the action of God in my daily life. Are you also willing?
